Visitor Visa

What a traveler needs to visit Canada is determined by nationality of the traveller. All non-Canadian citizens and permanent residents, require permission to enter Canada and require either a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) or an eTA (electronic Travel Authorization), unless they are US Citizens.
Citizens of visa-exempt countries intending to travel to Canada by air are expected to have applied for an obtained an eTA before their departure to Canada. If you are NOT a citizen from a visa-exempt country, you will need a TRV to enter Canada.
TRV is an official counterfoil document issued by a visa office that is placed in a person’s passport to show that they have met the requirements for admission to Canada as a temporary resident. TRV can be either single entry, multiple entry or transit visa.

Super Visa is a multiple-entry TRV for up to 10 years to parents and grandparents of an eligible PR or Canadian Citizen, with the authorized period of extended stay for up to five years upon each entry to Canada.
